Assistant Operations Head

Job Summary

•Manage the entire operational functions in the absence of the Operations Head

•Plan, schedule, dispatch and monitor quality assurance throughout the operations process

•Directs and monitors the actual activities of operation: warehousing, inventory, fleet/transportation and shipments

•Ensure that forklift, vehicles and other required equipment perform in accordance to safety & maintenance instructions

•Coordinate with the concerned departments to report, update and resolve repair, maintenance and purchase issues of operations supplies and equipment

•Provide administrative support along with clerical tasks that aid the daily business operations of an organization: staff attendance, reports preparation, cash fund monitoring, trip schedules, etc.

•Ensure proper orientation of staff’s job description, performance expectations and proper communication/information dissemination process

•Ensure all direct reports understand assigned goals and performance targets required from them

•Investigate and report all on-the-job accidents and injuries in a thorough and timely manner.

•Schedule and conduct employee meetings as necessary to review the operational objectives

•Ensure that training on operation of forklift, truck driving and other required equipment, with emphasis on safety measures

•Participate in the entire administrative process of staff performance or misconduct issues: initiates corrective disciplinary action as necessary and submits termination recommendations

General Qualifications

•Bachelor degree of Industrial Engineer, Management or other business-related course

•Actual work experience in a Cargo/Freight Forwarding business with supervisory function

•Industry relevant experience (land/sea/air freight and warehousing)
