This role focuses on operating and optimizing digital press equipment to support high-quality, efficient production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met while supporting operational efficiency and workflow continuity.

The position spans the full production lifecycle—from machine setup and operation to quality checks, troubleshooting, reporting, and coordination with team members. You will collaborate with team leads and production staff to maintain smooth operations, resolve issues, and deliver high-quality output for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up digital press and production equipment according to job specifications and instructions

Operate machines at optimal speed to meet production targets and efficiency standards

Perform adjustments and recalibrations to ensure consistent performance and productivity

Load materials and components onto machines based on job requirements

Conduct regular quality checks on components and finished products to ensure standards are met

Monitor machine performance and identify issues related to speed, quality, or functionality

Communicate job status, production updates, and issues during shift transitions

Report component or production quality concerns to Team Lead and assist in resolving issues

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Follow all workplace safety procedures and operational guidelines

Track and report production KPIs and performance metrics

Perform routine maintenance and support overall equipment upkeep

Assist with additional production tasks as needed to support team success

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Minimum 6 months of experience as a digital press or inserter operator OR 2+ years of experience in production equipment operation

Experience working with computer-controlled or software-driven mechanical systems

Ability to read and interpret job instructions and production documentation

Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and production processes

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Strong attention to detail and quality control

Ability to monitor equipment performance and maintain production efficiency

Good communication and coordination skills

Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 45 pounds intermittently

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in printing, mailing, or direct marketing production environments

Familiarity with postal guidelines and sorted mail processes

Experience with digital press or automated inserting equipment

Basic troubleshooting and maintenance experience for production machinery

Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to production demands
