About the Role This role is for someone who cares deeply about how software is built. We think in terms of systems, architecture, and long-term maintainability, not just shipping features. We use established approaches when they make sense, and we are comfortable questioning them when they do not. We value thoughtful decisions over default choices. We do not adopt new technology just because it is trending. “It’s popular” is not a strong technical reason. We choose tools based on clear, practical value for the problem at hand.

About You You actually enjoy software. You think beyond tickets and care about how things fit together. You’re not tied to one language or framework and can adapt based on the problem. You value quality. You’d rather build something properly than rush something out just to move on. You’re curious, thoughtful, and comfortable questioning things when they don’t make sense. You also like working with people. This is an on site role, and we solve problems together, not over long Slack threads.

What You Bring

Strong fundamentals in software design, architecture, and problem solving

Experience building production systems that people rely on

The ability to learn new tools and technologies as needed

Good judgment when it comes to trade offs, performance, and maintainability

Comfort collaborating closely with a team in person

Build thoughtful, maintainable software across our products

Contribute to architecture and technical decisions

Work across different parts of the stack when needed

Improve performance, scalability, and overall system quality

Collaborate closely with developers, designers, QA, and product

Review code and help raise the bar for the team

Take the time to understand problems before jumping to solutions

is one of our fantastic developers and brings just the right mix of organized, outgoing, and Gen Z energy to the team. When she’s not turning designs into polished, working features or sharing her knowledge with software students, she’s usually finding the next EDM event to rave about.

Dan

is our founder and still loves getting into the technical weeds when he can. When he’s not jumping into code, product ideas, or behind the scenes problem solving, he’s usually 3D printing something for his ever growing model train empire.

Marc

prefers to let his code do the talking. When it came time to submit his staff bio answers… well, we’re still waiting, but we hear he’s very competitive on the basketball court.

Shannon

brings curiosity, creativity, and plenty of care to her work as a developer. When she’s not helping upgrade our products to the next level, she’s usually singing karaoke, dreaming of learning the ukulele, or enjoying a very well earned plate of pierogies.

Vick

is calm, thoughtful, and the kind of Team Lead who keeps things organized behind the scenes. He once took a road trip through 23 U.S. states in 17 days and still hopes to see the Leafs play in a live Stanley Cup game one day.
