This position is also responsible for SSIS/SSRS, tuning T-SQL, ensuring standards, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of all processes that relate to data including relational and non-relational databases across the company.
This role's areas of responsibility included disaster recovery, high availability, and business intelligence.
This is a tactical/strategic position requiring a strong sense of ownership to resolve issues and assigned requests.
This position will travel to locations within the VIVA HEALTH service area through a reliable means of transportation insured in accordance with Company policy.
Key Responsibilities * Make recommendations for redundancy, efficiency, and resiliency of databases.
* Design and test DR scenarios for applications and databases.
* Maintain database backups (MSSQL, MongoDB and Oracle) and recovery information.
* Control user access and security for reporting and applications.
* Monitor performance and allocate resources as needed.
* Implement database structure and configuration for new applications.
* Extract, transfer, and load data and automate jobs where possible.
* Document security and structure.
* Research and install updates, patches, and upgrade versions.
REQUIRED: * Bachelor's Degree * At least 5-7 years' experience in a DBA role * Experience troubleshooting complex database problems * Automation Experience with native or third party tools * Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory * Knowledge of failover and redundancy configurations * Knowledge of database roles and security best practices * Knowledge of MSSQL Server and Oracle * Ability to communicate with other staff * Valid driver's license in good standing PREFERRED: * Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field * 7-10+ years of DBA experience * Relational and Non-Relational DB experience in a large environment * Knowledge of DB2 and MongoDB * Knowledge of Visual Studio, SSRA, SSIS, SSMS * Knowledge of document storage and workflow
