General Description

The Outside Maintenance Staff is under the direct supervision of the Outside Maintenance Supervisor. The Outside Maintenance position is considered a Safety Sensitive Position. The Outside Maintenance Staff will be responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of all exterior areas of casino to include lawn maintenance care.

Work Schedule

Requires morning, afternoon and evenings. Monday through Sunday.

Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval by supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure overall cleanliness and maintenance of exterior, maintenance equipment, tools and machinery in accordance to Lucky Star standards.

Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance duties.

Mow lawn by hand or using a riding lawnmower.

Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs and bushes.

Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger.

Stripe (paint) parking lots.

Collect and remove litter and other debris on property.

Responsible for routine daily checks of equipment and machinery.

Complete departmental checklists.

Maintain inventory control of maintenance supplies, tools and electrical/mechanical equipment as needed.

Operates tools/equipment and use of chemicals in a safe manner.

Participate in training & operates in accordance to Lucky Star Standards.

Must exhibit STAR treatment to all customers and employees.

Other duties as assigned.

Physical Job Requirements

Stand continuously with some sitting and perform job functions for a full shift with lunch break.

Work in extreme hot/cold elements.

Requires bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting and pulling.

Required to wear fluorescent vest or jacket.

Move objects up to and exceeding 80lbs. with reasonable accommodations.

Qualification Standards

Must pass pre-employment drug test.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
