Job title: Senior Engineer – Interior Components & Systems

Location: Arizona or Michigan (Onsite – 100%)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Mandatory Skills to Highlight

4+ years of experience in Interior Components and Systems Development

(hard trim, soft trim, instrument panel (IP), door trims, consoles, headliners, etc.)

Strong knowledge of automotive interior components and systems, including:

Industry benchmarks

Market trends

Supplier capabilities

Proven experience in:

Creating and defining technical product specifications

Establishing and managing development timelines

Supporting accelerated development toward SOP (Start of Production)

Hands-on experience with CAD tools for:

2D/3D concept design

Packaging layouts

DFM (Design for Manufacturing) studies

CATIA V5/V6 preferred

Vehicle / Product launch experience

Solid understanding of:

Plastic part design

Manufacturing processes (especially injection molding)

GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

Structural performance, ergonomics, and safety requirements

Experience working with suppliers / vendors to ensure:

Technical feasibility

On-time delivery

Ability to work in cross-functional teams (design, engineering, marketing)

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (mandatory)

Location requirement: Must be based in Arizona or Michigan
