BUILDING SERVICE WORKER - PUBLIC WORKS

The City of Dickinson Public Works Department is looking for a Building Service Worker to help keep our facilities clean, safe, and fully operational.

Pay:$20.03 - $22.12 per hour (DOE) Schedule: Monday - Friday What We Offer:Competitive Benefits Package Health Coverage: 80%-100% City-paid health insurance + optional dental, vision & life insurance Retirement Security: NDPERS Defined Contribution Plan + optional 457 retirement savings Work-Life Balance: Paid vacation & sick leave, 13 paid holidays, bereavement leave, and emergency closure leave Career Growth: On-the-job training, professional development, and tuition reimbursement Support System: Employee Assistance Program (EAP) What You'll Do: * Maintain cleanliness of Public Works buildings, shops, and facilities * Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas * Sweep, mop, buff floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets * Empty trash, recycling, and shop waste containers * Clean windows, blinds, walls, and equipment surfaces * Restock restroom and facility supplies * Assist with setup for trainings, meetings, and department events * Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs * Remove snow and debris from entrances, sidewalks, and facility access points * Lock/unlock facilities and help ensure building security * Support safe, clean working conditions for Public Works operations * Respond to facility-related needs and emergencies as required What You'll Need: Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: Up to one year of experience in janitorial, maintenance, or similar type of work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
