On behalf of our client, a leading specialist off-shore litigation firm, Personnel 2000 are recruiting for a Litigation Associate to join a growing and dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality legal input across all client work, including research, drafting court documents, and reviewing documentation.
Communicate with clients, counsel, and courts, preparing cases for hearings and trials.
Handle contentious matters in areas such as insolvency, restructuring, commercial disputes, fraud, asset recovery, regulatory enforcement, trust disputes, and alternative dispute resolution.
Advocate in court for suitable applications and support senior lawyers and leading counsel as required.
Take personal responsibility for managing cases effectively and efficiently.
Collaborate with associates, partners, and paralegals, delegating tasks as appropriate.
Contribute to the team’s business development initiatives within the Cayman Islands and internationally.
Adhere to firm policies and procedures, particularly in risk management and compliance.
Manage and participate in additional projects as assigned by partners.
Qualifications:
Legal qualification from Cayman Islands, UK, or another Common Law jurisdiction.
3–5 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
Relevant litigation experience in areas such as insolvency, restructuring, or commercial disputes.
Strong drafting, research, and written/verbal English skills.
Proficient in using research platforms, document management systems, and Data Rooms.
Knowledge of time recording and billing disciplines.
