Technology Intern

Position Summary:

The Technology Intern will assist the school division’s IT department with the maintenance, installation, and support of hardware, software, and network systems. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in educational technology environments, working directly with IT professionals and school staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of computers, tablets, and other classroom technologies.

Support troubleshooting of hardware, software, and connectivity issues under supervision.

Perform routine maintenance on devices and systems, including updates and imaging.

Maintain accurate inventory records of devices and IT assets.

Help support users by responding to help desk tickets or walk-in issues.

Assist in organizing and preparing technology for the start of the school year or testing periods.

Support audiovisual setups for school events or meetings as needed.

Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies related to student data and network access.
