Under the supervision of the I&C Manager, perform repairs and calibration on electronic devices and control equipment and performs work related to electrical preventive and corrective maintenance of company facilities and electrical work as required in the modification and addition of existing systems.
Responsibilities:
Performs general preventive and corrective maintenance to various types of equipment and components at Authority installations. This includes - but not limited to - motor control centers, chemical feed systems, electrical generating equipment, switch gear, motors, transfer switches and similar devices.
Orders material as required for the various job assignments.
Repair and calibrate electronic devices and control equipment such as flow meters, totalizers, telemetering equipment, phone lines, Variable Frequency Drives, chemical feed equipment and PLC equipment.
Test metering equipment for accuracy and submit results in written report form.
Respond to emergency situations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Electrician's Unlimited Journeyman - E2 license.
Valid driver's license
Familiar with general electronics principles and be able to become familiar with the various control devices utilized within our systems.
Able to read and lay out work from prints/drawings for electrical projects.
Familiar with all applicable electrical codes, state and local.
Capable of trouble-shooting and analysis of electrical problems.
Able to competently use the various testing equipment/meters, hand tools and small power tools necessary to complete the various work assignments.
Ability to lift up to 55-lbs.
