Personal Assistant/Mentor

Hours: 35 hours per week

Pay: $19 per hour, plus benefits

I am looking for a female assistant to help me with personal care and going into the community.

The position is basically to help me live my life the way I want to do it. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Meal prep and feeding me

• Assisting me with personal hygiene (dental care), dressing and undressing

• Running errands in the community

• Light to medium housekeeping, such as laundry, dishes, vacuuming, dusting, changing sheets

While I attempt to have a set schedule, life happens and there are times when you might need to work different hours.

Requirements:

• Unrestricted driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Be comfortable with dogs (small service dog in training)

• Ability to be flexible; okay with changes within reason

• Willingness to wear a KN95 or N95 mask (provided) due to my roommate and my compromised immune systems.

• Must be hardworking, reliable and communicative.

Preferred candidate will be responsible, outgoing, friendly, efficient, and willing to be a team player. The ability/willingness to assist if needed for absences.

Sense of humor is a huge plus!

My assistant services are through an agency called Advocates, Inc. In order to work for me, you must apply through Advocates and will be on Advocates’ payroll (which takes about a month). You will be fingerprinted and must pass a criminal and child abuse check, among other things. I have no control of this process, we cannot set a definite start date, but my plan is for you to start as soon as possible.
