Shift: First Shift 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday

Hiring Basis: 6-month contract to permanent basis

Pay: $25-$35/Hourly/W2

Lotus Technical has a 6-month contract to permanent role for a Cincinnati Laser & CNC Brake Press Operator for our manufacturing client located in Maple Grove, MN. Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

SUMMARY

This position is a hybrid role, with approximately 50% of the time operating Cincinnati laser cutting equipment and 50% operating press brake machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience reading blueprints, and the ability to produce high-quality metal components in a fast-paced production environment.

LASER OPERATOR DUTIES

Program, set up, and operate the Cincinnati laser cutting machine.

Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.

Interpret blueprints, work orders, and CAD drawings.

Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as needed.

Inspect parts for accuracy and quality standards.

Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment clean and organized.

Track production and complete required documentation.

BRAKE PRESS OPERATOR DUTIES

Program, set up, and operate press brake equipment to form metal components.

Read and interpret blueprints, bend deductions, and specifications.

Select proper tooling and perform machine setups.

Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools.

Maintain consistent quality and production efficiency.

Troubleshoot minor machine or setup issues.

Follow all safety procedures and company standards.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Previous experience operating a press brake (CNC experience preferred).

CNC programming or setup experience.

Manufacturing or metal fabrication background.

Mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Ability to use measuring tools accurately.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic computer and production reporting skills.

Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Background check and drug screening will be required.

Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience with Cincinnati laser equipment strongly preferred.
