Job Details
The Vice President, Finance/Controller is one of the most senior and influential leaders within the organization. This role serves as a strategic business partner to executive leadership and ownership, providing financial guidance and driving initiatives that enhance productivity and profitability. The position oversees all financial planning, policies, accounting practices, and relationships with lending institutions.
This leader is expected to take a hands-on approach, contributing across multiple areas of the business. Beyond traditional finance responsibilities, the role focuses on strengthening the organization’s analytical capabilities, helping leadership understand key business drivers and how to leverage them to improve performance.
The organization operates with a flat, highly collaborative structure. Cross-functional teamwork is essential, and leaders must be comfortable navigating ambiguity, identifying opportunities, and executing solutions quickly in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership and ownership, contributing to decision-making and business growth initiatives
Manage relationships and communications with banks and financial institutions
Lead development and execution of enterprise-wide financial strategy, including performance metrics, processes, and controls
Oversee all finance and accounting functions, including FP&A, accounting, treasury, tax, audit, risk management, and investor-related activities
Drive a strong analytical focus across the organization to enhance data-driven decision-making
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or CPA preferred
10+ years of finance experience within a multi-site, geographically distributed organization (e.g., retail, hospitality, consumer services, etc.)
Experience in franchise or license-based business models preferred
Background in high-volume, operationally driven environments is ideal
