Facility: Novant Health South Asheville Medical Plaza

Location: 1815 Hendersonville Road Asheville

Position Type: Full-time

Work Schedule Details: 4 days a week - 10hr shifts

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for driving and operating a Mobile Mammography Coach (comparable in size to a large RV), including transporting the unit to designated locations and ensuring safe, compliant operation at all times. The employee represents the organization professionally while working in various community and clinical settings.

In addition to mobile operations, you will serve as the initial point of contact with patients, referring physicians, and the general public on the imaging center’s behalf which includes, but is not limited to: welcoming all patients and their family members into the imaging center, making patients and all visitors feel comfortable, and anticipating and attending to the needs of our patients. This position includes checking patients in, answering the telephone, routing incoming calls to the appropriate party, scheduling patient appointments, collecting balances from patients’ financial responsibility at time of service, and other front office/desk duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Prior Experience:

0 - 2+ years of experience working in a customer support role or hospitality field

Special Qualifications:

Ability to safely drive and operate a Mammography Coach in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulations

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Willingness and ability to travel to assigned locations as needed

Strong customer service background and focus

Professional written and verbal communication skills

Working knowledge and ability to perform accurately and efficiently on computer

Demonstrated ability to multi-task

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Experience operating specialty vehicles or mobile medical units (not required but beneficial)

Experience working in a physician practice or other type of medical services office

Knowledge of medical terminology

Prior patient collections experience in a medical setting

Medical records experience
