Database Administrator Oracle

We’re hiring: Senior Oracle Database Administrator – Onsite Middletown, NJ Contract (W2 Only)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (ADBA) to join our Infrastructure Management team. This role is critical in ensuring the performance, availability, and security of complex Oracle database environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Oracle databases with high availability and reliability

• Implement and monitor backup and recovery strategies (RMAN)

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues; optimize performance

• Perform database upgrades, migrations, and patching

• Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures

• Collaborate with development teams on database design and solutions

• Monitor and tune database performance for optimal efficiency

• Document configurations, processes, and best practices

• Mentor and support junior DBAs

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration (12c and above)

• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL

• Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN

• Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and database security

• Proven ability in performance tuning and issue resolution

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, or other cloud database platforms

• Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tools

• Experience with automation tools and scripting (Bash, Python)

• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

• 10–15 years of Oracle DBA experience

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification preferred

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
