Outside Machinist

Job Description

Venture Dynamics is currently seeking a skilled Outside Machinist to join our team. As an Outside Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of various marine vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform maintenance and repair work on marine vessels, including installing, repairing, and replacing parts and equipment

- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to troubleshoot and diagnose issues

- Utilize various hand and power tools to complete repairs and installations

- Perform welding, cutting, and brazing tasks as needed

- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure vessels are in good working condition

- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and meet deadlines

- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Outside Machinist in a marine or shipyard environment

- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various tools and equipment

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics

- Proficient in welding, cutting, and brazing techniques

- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and in various weather conditions

- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
