Asphalt Laborer

Job Description

The Asphalt Laborer plays a vital role in supporting asphalt paving projects by handling materials, operating hand tools and light machinery, and maintaining safe work environments. This position primarily works on day shifts with a small crew and sometimes requires travel to different job sites. The laborer focuses on efficient asphalt spreading, ensuring quality, safety, and cleanliness throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

Handle and transport materials to support paving operations

Spread asphalt efficiently using hand tools and light machinery

Comply with all safety regulations and procedures on site

Maintain clean and organized work areas before and after shifts

Required Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in construction or general labor

Preferred Qualifications

Physical stamina to perform demanding manual labor

Strong awareness of job site safety protocols

Ability to work effectively within a small crew environment
