Job Title: Porta CNC Machine Operator
Location: Hudson, OH
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
Shifts: M-F, 6am-6pm A
2nd shift: M-Th, 6pm-6am B
Wknd: F-Su, 6am-6pm C
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team in Hudson, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing precision-machined parts by operating CNC equipment while adhering to quality and safety standards. This position demands flexibility, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC milling and lathe machines efficiently and safely
Follow all standard work instructions, procedures, and quality guidelines
Utilize Microsoft Navision and data collection sheets to track and document production
Perform minor machine tool adjustments following documented training
Inspect and measure components using tools such as calipers, micrometers, gages, comparators, and CMMs as needed
Ensure all parts meet quality standards and are free from defects
Lift and handle up to 50 lbs. regularly using pallet jacks and hand tools
Perform basic deburring, cutting, and handling of machined parts
Move materials throughout the department using forklifts
Maintain punctuality and be present at work at the start of each shift
Comply with all safety policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years CNC machine operation experience
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor issues
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Preferred Skills & Experience
Direct experience operating Porta CNC machines
Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints
Proficient in using Tow Motors/forklifts
Skilled in measuring tools: micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators
Ability to identify fine details, such as burrs and radii, on small machined parts
Physical Requirements
This role requires frequent standing, walking, and manual dexterity. The employee must regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment
The CNC Operator will work in a manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels. Exposure to temperature changes, mechanical equipment, vibration, airborne particles, and occasional use of chemicals may occur. PPE and safety protocols are provided and required.
