Job description*:

We are seeking a Windows Support Engineer with strong experience in Windows Server patching and troubleshooting.

The candidate should have good hands-on knowledge of SCCM and WSUS and experience supporting critical business systems, including patching of critical applications hosted in Windows cluster environments.

Experience with OT (Operational Technology) server patching is preferred; however, candidates without direct OT exposure must be able to adapt quickly and perform patching activities by following standard documentation and procedures.

• Perform Windows Server patching for production and non-production environments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows Server–related issues efficiently.

• Use SCCM and WSUS for patch deployment, monitoring, and compliance reporting.

• Execute patching for critical business systems, ensuring minimal impact and adherence to change management processes.

• Perform patching of critical applications hosted on Windows Failover Cluster environments, following approved maintenance windows.

• Support OT server patching activities where applicable.

• If OT experience is limited, accurately follow documentation, SOPs, and vendor guidelines to safely patch servers.

• Conduct pre patch and post patch checks, validate system health, and ensure service availability.

• Coordinate with application teams, infrastructure teams, and change management for planned patching activities.

• Maintain proper documentation of patching activities, issues, and resolutions.

• Strong experience in Windows Server administration, patching, and troubleshooting.

• Good working knowledge of SCCM and WSUS.

• Experience supporting critical business applications in production environments.

• Hands-on experience with Windows cluster environments and patching clustered servers.

• Ability to work with standard operating procedures and documentation.

• Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
