Material Handler & Backup Machine Operator

We are looking for a high-energy Material Handler who is ready to do more than just move pallets. While your primary mission is keeping the production lines fed and organized, you’ll also be trained to step in and run fabrication machinery when material flow is caught up. Position –Material Handler & Backup Machine Operator

Job Location –Horicon, WI

Starting Date –ASAP

Employment Term –Temp to hire

Employment Type –Full time

Work Hours (Shift) – 3rd shift

Starting Pay –$18 to $19

Required Experience –At least 2 years of experience

You’ll be the "connective tissue" of our shop, ensuring no station ever runs out of parts while maintaining a safe, lean workspace.

The Logistics: Load and unload materials from pallets, racks, and shelves. You’ll use forklifts, hand trucks, and electric dollies to keep the plant moving.

The "Operator" Edge: When the floor is stocked, you’ll step up to the machines. You’ll be trained to operate equipment to keep production targets on track.

Inventory & Documentation: Read work orders and verify records for outbound shipments. If it moves, you’ll make sure it’s documented.

Safety First: Perform daily forklift inspections and adhere to all corporate safety standards.

Lean Environment: Support our 6S plan through routine housekeeping and organized staging of large metal objects.

Qualifications

Forklift Expertise: At least 2 years of experience (ideally in a metal fabrication or heavy industrial setting).

Heavy Metal Experience: You should be comfortable moving and staging large, heavy metal components.

The "Lean" Mindset: Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment is a huge plus.

Math & Communication: Basic math skills for inventory counts and the ability to communicate clearly with the production team.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
