Employment Type: Direct Hire, Permanent
Position 1 - Work Hours: Monday through Friday 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, every other weekend, 40 hours per week
Position 2 - Work Hours: Monday through Sunday 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, 7 days on 7 days off, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities
Manage and maintain controlled drug and narcotic processes in compliance with all state and federal regulations
Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug selection, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration
Make therapy change recommendations to physicians and client facility staff when necessary
Maintain accurate customer database including medical history, clinical data, and laboratory information
Investigate and resolve medication related queries in a timely and thorough manner
Communicate effectively with facility nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding medication related concerns
Supervise the preparation of medications throughout the shift
Maintain a complete and accurate register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposes
Ensure proper security conditions for all medications are upheld at all times
Perform on call duties as required
Experience
Experience working with controlled drugs and narcotics required
Long-term care pharmacy experience preferred
Closed-door pharmacy experience a plus
Experience with Frameworks pharmacy system preferred
Skills
Strong knowledge of controlled substance regulations and compliance requirements
Detail oriented with excellent record keeping and documentation skills
Effective communicator with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare teams
Reliable and comfortable working evening and overnight shifts
Qualifications
Active Ohio Pharmacist License in hand required
Proficiency in Frameworks pharmacy system preferred
