We are seeking a skilled Python/Django Back-End Developer for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Chicago. This role is ideal for a developer passionate about building scalable back-end systems, working with modern web technologies, and collaborating with a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance back-end applications using Python and Django.

Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance and scalability.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Ensure security, reliability, and maintainability of applications. Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience with Python and Django framework.

Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating with front-end applications.

Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Understanding of unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS or cloud-based deployment.

Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular (nice-to-have).

Prior experience in a contract-to-hire or agile development environment.
