Project Manager
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate duties and responsibilities with PEMS Sprint Teams and Provider Services.
Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project timelines in alignment with PEMS project timelines.
Ensure that project plans maintain tasks, schedules, and status updates while disseminating information to team members.
Oversee and report on critical path dependencies between PEMS projects.
Communicate project status, issues, and risks to department management, HHSC vendors, Provider Services, and PEMS sprint teams. Develop mitigation plans as necessary.
Communicate program initiative status to department management and other stakeholders.
Plan and manage efficient project meetings and document key decisions.
Design strategies to mitigate or avoid identified project risks and difficulties.

Required Experience:
Seven years of experience in the management of large-scale IT projects, including system integration, resource management, procurement transition, and vendor management.
Seven years of experience with Medicaid Enterprise Systems, including Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS).
Seven years of experience identifying problems, evaluating alternatives, and implementing effective solutions; developing and evaluating policies and procedures; and preparing reports.
Seven years of demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines.
Seven years of experience with Medicaid business operations.
Seven years of experience overseeing the planning and execution of major projects, including facilitation and documentation of high-level critical path dependencies across multiple projects.
Seven years of experience successfully leading meetings and facilitating discussions between multiple stakeholder groups, including vendors.
Seven years of expertise using Microsoft Office products including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
Seven years of ability to establish project goals and objectives that support state and HHS strategic plans as well as federal directives.
Seven years of proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities.
Seven years of excellent analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
Seven years of experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently perform a variety of complex tasks, demonstrating creativity and latitude.
Seven years of strong oral and written communication skills.
Four years of certification in Project Management by a recognized project management organization.
Preferred Experience:
Three years of knowledge of Texas Medicaid programs.
Two years of experience with Texas Health and Human Services programs.
Two years of experience with provider enrollment systems.
One year of Scrum Master certification is preferred.
