Full Stack SW Developer (AWS, Backend Focused)

Location: Hybrid (Reston, VA, onsite 1x/month)

Contract: Long-term (12+ months)

8+ years software development with AWS migration expertise (EKS, Kubernetes), Java 21, Angular 18, MongoDB, Agile/DevOps experience, AWS Developer certification, and strong communication skills.

Full Stack Software Developer with focus on Backend Technologies and AWS Cloud migration experience. The selected candidate will perform complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software ranging from operating system architecture integration and software design to selection of computer systems, language, and/or equipment. Designs, develops/codes, tests, and documents critical and complex application programs for computer systems. Works with appropriate stakeholders to define system scope and objectives and establish baselines. Establishes project standards and processes. Breaks down software requirements and creates highly complex systems. The selected candidate will also partcipate in our client's AWS Transformational efforts leveraging EKS, Kubernetes.

This position is a hybrid opportunity (1x per month onsite in Reston VA) and is a long term (12 months+) contract position.

Required Skills

- BS Degree with 8 years of Software Development experience (if no degree, seeking 12 years of total SW Development experience)

- AWS Developer related certification is required, along with AWS EKS, Kubernetes for migration related activities (must have AWS migration experience). General understanding of AWS API Gateway is highly preferred

- Must have experience with Java 21, Angular 18 and Mongo DB.

- Must have Java development experience with ability to develop unit / integration test cases using Junit /TestNg.

- Must have ability to understand and work with code developed by other developers.

- Must have extensive experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

- Must have strong experience in continuous integration within DevOps environment.

- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (in English).

- Good to have experience working with API Management Tools.

- Good to have Experience working with GIT/BitBucket.
