Step into an essential role supporting students as a full-time Physical Therapist in a vibrant K-12 school setting. This contract opportunity is available immediately and will extend through the end of the academic year. You'll make a profound impact on students' growth and development by delivering personalized therapy and consultation services for a diverse caseload.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapy licensure in the state of Ohio
Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric physical therapy setting preferred
Strong understanding of developmental milestones and therapeutic interventions for school-aged children
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to partner with educators, families, and other professionals
Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload effectively across multiple age groups (K-12)
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where all students can succeed
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to approximately 50 students from kindergarten through 12th grade
Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans that address students' physical, functional, and academic needs
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to develop strategies that promote student independence and access to educational opportunities
Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
Travel between campuses within the area may be required to support students across multiple sites
Monitor student outcomes and adjust therapy as appropriate for maximum benefit
