Senior / Lead Mainframe Systems Engineer (z/OS, RACF)

Hybrid - Reston, VA (Need local to client location or close)

GC and USC

8-10+ years IBM z/OS Systems Engineering in a Sysplex environment with strong RACF security administration, CICS TS, MQ, DB2, ISV installations, IBM System Automation, and Control-M batch scheduling.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree required

(In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted) Experience

8-10+ years supporting IBM z/OS systems in a Sysplex environment

RACF Security Administration - 5-10 years (Critical requirement)

z/OS Systems Programming - 5-10 years

CICS TS Systems Programming - 5-10 years

IBM MQ Systems Programming - 5-10 years

DB2 usage - 5-10 years (Systems programming experience not required)

ISV production installation and support experience

Systems Automation experience (IBM System Automation)

Batch Scheduling experience (Control-M) Strongly Preferred Skills

Sysplex and ICF configuration and tuning (experience de-coupling Sysplex environments is a plus)

Middleware integration experience with AIX, WebSphere, LDAP, and network interfaces

Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols

Expertise with IBM z16 hardware and Dell/EMC storage subsystems

Pervasive Encryption on z/OS

Ransomware protection and recovery solutioning for mainframe environments

Java / J2EE exposure

DB2/UDB knowledge

Healthcare / Insurance industry experience is a plus
