Transportation Engineer

Collaborate with some of the top transportation experts in the industry, participate in production of roadway design, lead roadway studies, and develop and prepare project deliverables that improve the efficiency and safety of transportation systems. We are looking for a motivated Transportation Engineer to join our team in Columbus, OH.

B&N Transportation Engineer Responsibilities:

Support experienced engineers on transportation projects, including preliminary plan creation, CAD design/plan production, cost estimation, geometric design, and drainage design

Preparation of highway plans for ODOT and local governments

Work as part of a project team, collaborating with industry leaders in transportation

Develop skills roadway engineering and technical ability

Mentor junior staff in roadway design

Engage with the transportation industry to identify marketing opportunities and build strategic business development relationships

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor of Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program

2-5 years of related experience

Engineer-in-Training or ability to obtain within six months of hire

Interest in leveraging technology to support engineering efforts and identifying opportunities to streamline plan development efforts with technology a plus

Knowledge of ODOT standards and design practices

Knowledge of ORD/ORD Drainage.

Experience leading design tasks, serving as a roadway design lead

Project management a plus

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microstation

Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus
