Job Summary:
The Shipper is responsible for managing the efficient and accurate flow of products in and out of the facility. This role involves staging, loading, and unloading customer orders, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through precise order fulfillment and inventory management.
Essential Job Functions
Stage and load orders, separating pallets by specific stores
Load and unload trailers containing carts, pallets, and boxes
Manage, record, and report egg and packaging inventories
Document all inbound and outbound loads accurately
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
Follow all GMPs, FDA, and USDA regulations, including biosecurity and food defense programs
Monitor food safety, quality, and accuracy throughout shifts
Maintain cleanliness of coolers, trailers, and processing facilities
Assist with palletizing and other warehouse duties as needed
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments
Create a positive work environment that enhances performance and retention
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in warehouse, shipping, and receiving
Ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts
Experience with analyzing bills of lading, invoices, and shipping documents
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various climate conditions
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Experience with CAT2 or similar inventory management software
Forklift and pallet jack certifications
Work Environment
This position operates in a warehouse setting with exposure to cold environments. The role requires standing, walking, and being agile (bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing) for extended periods. The Specialist must be comfortable working with heavy machinery and in a fast-paced environment. Shift work is common, including potential nights, weekends, and holidays. Safety is a top priority, requiring constant vigilance and adherence to all safety protocols.
