Shift: 1st Shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (Monday - Friday)
Pay: $16.50 Hourly
Location: Atlanta Marta Station
Job Summary
Cleaners will have the primary responsibility of cleaning elevators, escalators, floors, glass surfaces, stainless steel, windows and restrooms at the Marta Stations within the Atlanta area and will be required to follow daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules and should have the required skills and abilities to perform daily, weekly, monthly and annual service tasks.
Essential Functions
Collects all garbage and recyclables from the assigned locations and places them in the correct disposal dumpster
Sanitize interior surfaces to effectively remove bacteria contaminants, or virus which include floors, doors, elevators, escalators, water fountains, benches, handrails, banisters, baseboards, partitions, venetian blinds, counter tops, lockers and cleans trash cans, and changes liners daily
Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and fixtures daily with germicidal solution
Wet mops all washable floors as specified in schedule including restrooms, stairwells, elevators, and storage areas
Cleans windows (inside and outside) when required
Clean glass surfaces, display cases, glass panels within or adjacent to interior and exterior doors, windows, light fixtures, and mirrors.
Sweeps and clears entrance areas daily
Basic cleaning of surfaces up to seven (7) feet high
Dusts, cleans and sanitizes other surfaces as specified in schedule
Performs other cleaning duties as specified in schedule
Refills paper towel, toilet paper and hand soap in all dispensers
Remove any objects, cones, barricades or old signs that are no longer needed.
Participates in emergency drills and environmental safety activities, as requested
Attends and participates in worksite safety and in-service trainings
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Custodial Experience Preferred
Qualifications and Skills
Must pass a background check
Must have valid driver license and reliable transportation
Must pass drug test
Must have a clear motor vehicle record
Must be able to physically move through the worksite.
Must be able to lift 40lbs
Must be able to stand for long periods as well as stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying and pushing
Wearing of protective equipment, such as latex gloves, per OSHA regulations is required
Ability to work independently
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
