Software Engineer Principal - Hybris (227142)

Lead other developers and contribute to developing corporate software product solutions that have all types of technical complexity according to Company guidelines and in support of business objectives. Provide design and development expertise across multiple functional and technical applications (modules, landscapes, platforms, etc.). Review requirements to understand audience, usability, and design requirements. Lead design, creation, and documentation of corporate software products customizations and enhancements with expert development, including but not limited to, reports, data services, interfaces, conversions, extensions, and workflows. Provide technical expertise for new and existing initiatives. Proficiently and efficiently analyze, design, code, unit test, implement, and validate development efforts. Lead code reviews for cross functional and all levels of development efforts, teach other team members how to efficiently review solutions, and give feedback. Pioneer new coding approaches, collaboratively distribute, and give thought leadership support to product teams. Lead project planning and design with technical, business, and project leaders, planning and discussing the specifics of projects, new technologies, and deadlines with ability to estimate effort, resource requirements, and timelines for all types and complexities of technical work efforts; direct collaboration and support for implementation. Determine appropriate technical and non-technical stakeholders to participate in process / project team. Develop and lead others to develop technical solutions that are usable, minimize support burden, effectively performance-tuned, easy to maintain, intuitive, and follow established development patterns within the relevant software application with little to no assistance from technical subject matter experts of the product. Work with other developers, functional analysts, and business systems analysts to produce solutions that meet business and functional requirements specified. Complete document design and development standards and create Company guidelines. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met. Mentor and lead other team and product team members on functional and technical approaches and processes. Stay current on the latest industry technologies, trends, and strategies, and recommend and implement new technologies. Assist employees, vendors, and customers by answering questions related to corporate software products. Provide and lead others through root cause analysis. Complete work in a timely manner. Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and changes in the world of SAP development and adapt to these changes by self-training and research work. Complete other duties as assigned.

Eight (8) years of progressive experience with Hybris, Java, and Spring development. Industry experience and demonstrated proficiency with design, development, and support of Hybris applications. Industry experience and demonstrated expertise on core Hybris technical concepts and architecture. Industry experience and demonstrated ability to adapt to functional and technological changes efficiently. Industry experience and demonstrated understanding of agile development ideas, including scrum, test/behavior-driven development, and code-evaluate-iterate. Industry experience with: (1) Hybris, Java, and Spring framework development; (2) Cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or SAP Cloud; and (3) RESTful and/or GraphQL services.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
