Job Description
Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an Imaging - IR Tech to provide expert support within a dynamic healthcare environment on a contract basis. Your specialized skills will contribute to high-quality patient care in interventional radiology procedures.
Schedule / Hours:
4x10 hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 07:00–17:30 (varied days)
Minimum of 14 call days (including 2 weekends) in each 6-week schedule cycle
Call hours: Monday–Friday 16:00–07:00, Saturday and Sunday 24 hours
Qualifications:
Current certification and registration as an IR Technologist
At least one year of recent experience in interventional radiology preferred
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity procedural setting
Current BLS or equivalent certification
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with a variety of interventional radiology procedures, providing skilled technical support to physicians and nursing staff
Prepare and operate imaging equipment in accordance with established protocols
Ensure proper patient positioning and safety throughout all procedures
Document patient information, procedures performed, and any changes in status
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant procedure area
Respond promptly and effectively to emergency call-ins as scheduled
