Job Description

We are seeking a kind, patient, and reliable respite provider to spend time with a sweet and lovable child in their home. This role is designed to give the primary caregivers a short break while ensuring the child feels safe, supported, and engaged. The ideal candidate will enjoy calm, gentle interactions and be comfortable providing both companionship and personal care in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage in age-appropriate, enjoyable activities such as playing with bubbles, listening to music, and watching kid-friendly shows

• Provide personal cares as needed

• Maintain a safe, calm, and comforting environment

• Offer emotional support and reassurance, especially during moments of frustration or upset

• Be attentive to the child’s needs, preferences, and triggers, including avoiding loud noises and other sources of distress

• Communicate regularly with parents regarding the child’s needs and well-being

Qualifications

• Previous experience with childcare, babysitting, or respite care preferred

• Patient, gentle, and compassionate demeanor

• Comfortable providing personal cares

• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy

• Ability to understand and respond to the child’s needs, including navigating communication barriers
