Responsibilities:
Our psychologists work closely with pediatricians and medical staff to deliver accessible, evidence-based care that supports children’s emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.
Responsibilities
Conduct psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents
Provide short- to medium-term psychotherapy for concerns such as: Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Executive functioning challenges, and Adjustment difficulties
Deliver brief behavioral health consultations and parent coaching
Collaborate regularly with pediatricians and medical providers to coordinate care
Develop clear, practical treatment recommendations for families and referring providers
Maintain timely documentation in an electronic health record
Participate in team meetings and case consultations
Qualifications:
Must have exceptional analytical skills, communication skills, and observational skills
This position requires you to be currently licensed in the state you practice by the ASPPB (Association of State and Provincial Licensing Boards)
Must pass the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology
Must have a master’s degree and a Doctorate of Psychology (PhD, EdD, PsyD)
Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical, School, or Counseling Psychology
Licensed or license-eligible in Maryland
1–3 years of supervised professional experience working with children and adolescents
Training in evidence-based treatments for youth
Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Experience with psychological testing preferred
Availability for evenings or weekends

With a combined 43 years of pediatric services, Mid-Atlantic Pediatric Partners manages and represents the collaboration of two established, independent practices in Montgomery County: Metropolitan Pediatrics and THH Pediatrics.
Initiated in January 2020, Mid-Atlantic Pediatric Partners united 14 pediatric providers with the goal of delivering compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based pediatric care. With the goal of optimizing each child’s wellness, our teams of clinicians and staff take great pride in partnering with families to establish and maintain a comprehensive medical home. To that goal, we have established additional healthcare services, such as our behavioral health department, lactation support, and more.
