Machine Operator - Laminator

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laminator Operator I to join a fast-paced manufacturing team in Elk Grove Village, IL. This role is ideal for candidates with machine operating experience who are committed to safety, quality, and production efficiency.

Pay & Schedule:

$21.10/hr + $2.00 shift differential ($23.10/hr effective rate)

12-hour continental shift: 5:45 PM – 6:15 AM

Rotation: 3 days one week, 4 days the next

Every other weekend off

Key Responsibilities:

Operate laminating equipment safely and efficiently

Mix adhesives based on established production formulas

Set up, operate, and adjust machinery (including lathe when required)

Verify first-piece quality and ensure product meets specifications

Read and interpret job orders accurately

Maintain clean, SQF-compliant work areas and equipment

Handle raw materials, adhesive changes, and substrate loading

Manage hazardous waste using approved procedures

Monitor production quality and report issues immediately

Support safety compliance by reporting hazards and incidents

Participate in audits, improvement initiatives, and production support tasks

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of machine operator experience (laminator experience preferred)

Ability to read rulers/tape measures accurately

Basic math and measurement skills

Comfortable working in a manufacturing/industrial environment

Strong attention to safety, quality, and attendance
