Job Description
The Field Operations Technician is responsible for operating wells and associated equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with established operating procedures and daily operational plans. This role focuses on maintaining production, minimizing equipment failure, and ensuring safe, reliable operations through continuous monitoring, maintenance support, and effective communication across teams. The position requires strong attention to safety, operational excellence, and proactive problem-solving in a field environment.
Responsibilities
Execute daily operational objectives, including safety, housekeeping, and environmental compliance
Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings
Monitor wells and equipment to identify issues and implement corrective or optimization actions
Perform basic maintenance activities as part of equipment care responsibilities
Report alarms, system failures, or emergency shutdown issues promptly
Ensure accurate and detailed shift handovers to maintain operational continuity
Coordinate and monitor maintenance activities (corrective, predictive, and preventive)
Maintain accurate logbook entries for operational events, abnormalities, and deviations
Collect product samples and perform basic field laboratory testing
Participate in emergency response activities and incident reporting
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding operational status
Provide detailed information on well performance, production rates, and equipment condition
Diagnose well performance issues prior to escalation for intervention
Ensure wellhead and surface equipment are properly maintained before intervention work
Support wellwork and intervention operations as needed
Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience as a Field Technician or similar role
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards
Knowledge of pipeline operations and field production systems
Familiarity with safety and operations management systems and processes
Understanding of emergency preparedness and response procedures
Knowledge of operational procedures, equipment, and field maintenance practices
Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively across shifts
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a physically demanding field environment

Pay: $60.55/per hour
