Salary: $17-$22

Founded in 1988, Weems and Stephens Equine Hospital is a full-service equine hospital established as a 24-hour a day referral center for horses requiring specialized medical and surgical care. We offer a full range of services including surgery, internal medicine, reproduction, sports medicine, advanced diagnostic imaging, and podiatry. We strive to provide premier quality care to our patients and have committed our professional attention to raising the standard of equine care.

We are growing and are looking for a talented Veterinary Technician to join our team.This position will primarily be responsible for the following duties:

Daily treatment of in-house horses

Assist with outpatient and ambulatory appointments

Utilize and maintain in-house lab equipment

Thoroughly clean exam rooms and medical equipment

Assist with surgeries as needed

This is an hourly, full-time position with bonus opportunity. Total compensation is in the range of $25,000 - $40,000 per year depending on experience.Medical experience with horses and the veterinary industry is preferred but not required.

Benefits include $150/month contributed toward health insurance, 10 days of paid vacation after one year of employment, company match of up to 3% on a SIMPLE retirement plan and eligibility for our employee profit sharing program.
