Core Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate (ORM), REST/SOAP Web Services, SQL (DB2), JUnit, basic Angular, and SDLC experience

We are hiring a Junior Full Stack Java Developer to support a long-term government project with New York State of Health (NYSoH), delivering healthcare coverage solutions to millions of residents. This is a fully onsite role in Albany, NY.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance Java/J2EE-based web applications

Work on multi-tier and service-oriented architecture (SOA) systems

Participate in full SDLC (design, development, testing, deployment)

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Build scalable, maintainable, and high-performance applications

Write and optimize SQL queries and work with relational databases

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver project milestones Required Skills & Experience

2-3 years of experience in software development

Strong knowledge of:

Core Java / J2EE

Spring Framework

ORM tools (Hibernate or similar)

Web Services (REST/SOAP)

JUnit testing

Experience with Relational Databases & SQL (DB2 preferred)

Understanding of large-scale enterprise applications (1+ year)

Basic front-end knowledge (Angular is a plus)

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience) Nice to Have

Experience in Healthcare / Medicaid / Health Exchange systems
