CNC Lathe Operator

Job Description

We are a small manufacturing company located on the west side of Chicago. We are looking for a skilled CNC Lathe Operator.

The CNC operator will work under the direction of the Lead Production Supervisor to operate CNC lathe or lathes

Must have knowledge of GD&T•

Must be able to speak and understand English

High school graduate with good mathematics skills•

Completion of a technical training program in CNC is highly desired or 3-5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines

Must be able to demonstrate abilities in a timely manner

Ability to work 10 hour shifts for 4 days a week

Excellent attendance record is necessary, Be a team player and interact well with others

Must be able to follow direction from superiors and work independently to complete assigned tasks

Ability to stand for extended periods•Ability to lift to 50 lbs

Read engineering prints and understand requirements

Knowledge of machining concepts and principles (feeds, speeds, tooling, etc.)

Meet all quality standards on all parts produced

Be able to measure parts to the engineering drawing and perform adjustments and offsets as necessary

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Perform other functions as instructed, always improving
