Big South Fork Medical Center is recruiting for Radiology/X-Ray Tech

Job Summary: The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray technology to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and patient care, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform X-ray examinations on patients while ensuring their comfort and safety.

Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic evaluations.

Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring clarity of images.

Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning through routine checks and troubleshooting.

Document patient information and imaging results in accordance with medical protocols.

Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques, including CT scans.

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in accordance with emergency medicine standard.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Registered in Radiography (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); BCLS certified.

Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of scanning protocols

Able to maintain competency needed to perform essential functions

Proficient in filming from imaging workstation.

Excellent customer service skills

Basic computer skills

Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)

Proficient in EMR data entryCompany Description
