Job Description
The Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA), founded in 1891, is a nonprofit organization whose objective is to "promote, influence, and assist in financing the varsity athletic programs of the midshipmen of the United States Naval Academy" in accordance with the policy of the Superintendent of the Academy. Through an intercollegiate athletics program that is one of the largest in the country, every midshipman is afforded the opportunity to compete in athletics at the Division I level. The emphasis on physical fitness is borne out in the first line of the mission of the U.S. Naval Academy: To develop midshipmen morally, mentally and physically.
Summary
This role is a dual-function position responsible for both the secure entry of fans via digital scanning and the processing of on-site ticket purchases. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring every guest has a seamless experience from the parking lot to their seat.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Sales & Transactions: Process walk-up ticket sales using Paciolan, handling both credit card and cash transactions accurately.
Ticket Scanning: Efficiently scan digital at entry gates using mobile scanning devices.
Customer Service: Greet fans with a smile, provide directions to seating sections or amenities, and resolve basic ticketing issues with a "fan-first" attitude.
Policy Enforcement: Monitor gate entries to ensure all guests have valid tickets a
Problem Solving: Assist fans with mobile ticketing troubleshooting, such as app logins or brightness/connectivity issues.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience, Education, & Certification(s)
Must be 14 of years or older with a valid work permit
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using handheld scanning devices, tablets, and basic computer skills.
Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally under pressure.
Availability: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on the athletic calendar.
Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or event operations, preferred
Strong basic math skills for transaction balancing.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
Must be eligible to work in the United States of America, without sponsorship.
Must be eligible to work on a military installation, including a willingness to submit to a background screen.
This is an in-person position.
Work Conditions/Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods (4–6 hours) and work in various weather conditions (outdoor stadiums).
