Context:
NXP’s HW R&D IIoT department, within SCE (Secure and Connected Edge), located in Catania, develops MCU (microcontrollers) products as part of NXP’s intelligent AI at the Edge for mass-market.
The PMU (power management) team is responsible for designing the entire power management sub-architecture of MCU circuits. In this context, the team is recruiting a University study internship (6 months period) to work on switching converter architecture study and definition.
Missions:
The internship will be held in cooperation with MCU analog team in Catania and will be responsible for the following tasks:
Studying of definition of DC/DC architecture using Simplis model.
Analysis and definition of the hey performances (KPI) for the sub-blocks used in the architecture.
Transistor level implementation of core IPs.
Analysis of post-layout related topics.
Profile:
Master’s degree student in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or related field with an emphasis on IC design.
Knowledge of analog electronics circuits and switching converter topology.
Familiarity with CAD tools is a plus.
A good level of technical English is required.
Desire for career in analog/mixed-signal integrated circuit design.
