This role is offered on a contract basis and provides a chance to work in a fast-paced, supportive clinical environment where your expertise will make a direct impact on patient care.
Schedule:4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday: 07:00–17:30, days vary.
Minimum of 14 call days per six-week period, including at least 2 weekends.
Call coverage hours: Monday–Friday 16:00–07:00, Saturday and Sunday 24-hour coverage.
Qualifications:Certification and registration as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.Proficiency in performing all standard interventional radiology procedures.Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and prepping/setup of the cath lab.Minimum of one year recent experience in a hospital or clinical environment preferred.BLS certification (and ACLS if required by department standards).Exceptional teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.Willingness and ability to take frequent and varied on-call assignments.
Key Responsibilities:Assist physicians and healthcare teams during diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures.Operate and maintain imaging equipment with a high degree of accuracy and safety.Monitor and care for patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, observing strict adherence to all safety protocols.Document procedure outcomes and maintain detailed patient records.Participate in emergency response situations as necessary.Support overall workflow in the cath lab/IR suite, ensuring instruments and supplies are stocked and ready.
