Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Lead Systems Specialist to lead the execution of Building Automation System (BAS) projects. In this role, you will manage end-to-end project delivery—from design and programming to commissioning and closeout—while ensuring safety, quality, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead onsite HVAC/BAS projects from planning through completion

• Design system hardware and perform software programming using industry standards

• Coordinate installation activities with subcontractors, technicians, and stakeholders

• Manage system commissioning, testing, and final validation

• Oversee project financials including budgeting, billing, and collections

• Identify and execute change orders to maximize project value

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (AHJ requirements)

• Maintain strong customer communication throughout all project phases

• Provide leadership, training, and technical guidance to project teams

• Ensure all safety standards are strictly followed on-site

• Deliver project documentation, as-built drawings, and client training

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC Controls / Building Automation Systems (BAS)

• Strong experience in system design, programming, and commissioning

• Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and network integration

• Ability to manage projects independently

• Strong computer and technical skills

• Understanding of project costing and contracting principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications or licenses in HVAC/BAS systems

• Experience working with subcontractors and vendors

• Strong leadership and communication skills
