Senior Project Manager (Data Center Security / Low Voltage Systems)
Location: Columbus, OH Metro
Salary Range: $45.00 - $55.00/hour (Contract-to-hire)
Bright Minds is searching for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of data center security and low-voltage system projects in the Columbus market. This role will oversee projects involving electronic security, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, and related technical infrastructure within complex, fast-paced environments.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of projects from kickoff through closeout, managing schedules, budgets, materials, and field execution to ensure successful delivery. You’ll coordinate closely with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams while maintaining strong communication and high client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. You’ll also track financial performance, manage change orders, and proactively resolve issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
As a key leader, you’ll work alongside field teams to ensure quality installations, safety compliance, and adherence to technical requirements. You’ll oversee subcontractor performance, support documentation and reporting, and help drive operational excellence across all phases of the project. You’ll also play a critical role in mentoring team members and supporting overall project performance across the organization.
Requirements for the Senior Project Manager (Data Center Security / Low Voltage Systems):
7–10 years of relevant experience in engineering, field service, or project management
5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
Experience in one or more of the following:
Electronic security systems
Fire alarm & life safety
Building automation systems
Strong financial acumen, including cost control and project financial management
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and project documentation
Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills
Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive projects in fast-paced environments
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred:
Advanced coaching, mentoring, and team development experience
Expert project management experience in technical environments (low voltage, BAS, fire alarm, security systems)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Basic understanding of IT networking principles
Industry certifications or project management certifications (PMP or similar)
