Electrical Foreman - Field Service
(Industrial Manufacturing Projects)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Foreman to lead industrial electrical projects in active manufacturing environments. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget, and in full compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in industrial machine installation, power distribution, and control wiring, with a strong ability to lead crews and coordinate across multiple trades.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
Lead end-to-end execution of industrial electrical installations including machine feeders, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), and power distribution systems
Oversee machine interconnects, I/O terminations, and control panel wiring for production equipment
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams to maintain project timelines
Deliver accurate daily progress reports, identify risks, and manage resource planning
Manage material procurement, job planning, and project scheduling to prevent delays
Crew Supervision & Development
Supervise and mentor journeyman electricians, apprentices, and field personnel
Promote a collaborative, high-performance work environment focused on skill development
Coordinate with other trades including mechanical, rigging, and automation teams
Enforce performance standards and provide constructive feedback
Safety & Compliance
Lead OSHA-compliant safety programs, including tailgate meetings and job hazard analyses (JHA)
Ensure adherence to industrial safety standards and company policies
Identify and mitigate job site hazards and respond to incidents effectively
Maintain compliance with all required certifications and regulatory requirements
Reporting & Administration
Complete field reports, material logs, and timesheets accurately and on schedule
Support hands-on work as an industrial electrician when required
Required Qualifications
Valid Electrical License (Journeyman or Master)
OSHA 30 Certification (Construction or General Industry)
Minimum 5+ years of industrial electrical experience in manufacturing or plant environments
Proven expertise in machine installation, switchgear, MCCs, and power distribution
Strong experience with control wiring, I/O terminations, and industrial automation systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and ladder logic diagrams
Strong communication skills and ability to manage client relationships
Experience in crew leadership, project coordination, and field supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PLC wiring, HMI systems, and controls integration
Knowledge of VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and servo drive systems
Background in plant relocations, equipment retrofits, or new facility installations
Certifications in Confined Space Entry, First Aid, and CPR
Experience working in multi-trade industrial environments
