Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for an outpatient pharmacist role within a closely-knit, small pharmacy team that manages 300-500 prescriptions daily. The position is based in Brookston, IN, and offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, perfect for professionals seeking structured work hours in a stable environment.
Responsibilities include prescription entry, thorough review and interpretation of prescriptions, drug utilization review, prescriber communication, issue resolution, and dispensing. You will also compound and dispense medications, supervise both professional and support staff, ensure compliance with pharmaceutical laws and regulations, and manage pharmaceutical storage and distribution. Additionally, the role involves consulting with healthcare providers, addressing pharmaceutical inquiries from patients and team members, and handling other tasks as assigned.
Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s or advanced degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution and hold an unrestricted registered pharmacist license in Indiana. A minimum of three years of relevant pharmacy experience is required, along with a clean criminal record without felonies.
