Health & Biomedical Research Center is a new facility at Al imam university in Riyadh, that has been established to undertake research in Cancer, Diabetes, Obesity, Cardiovascular and infectious diseases using the latest technology provided by state of the art Genomics, Proteomics, Clinical Mass spectrometry, Drug design, histology and animal studies platforms.

Role:Assist with the development and improvement of current and future Core technologies and services in mass spectrometry

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Act as supervisor of clinical mass spectrometry service platform.

• Will operate AB Sciex 6500 Qtrap and GC MS and Maldi Maxima performance from Shimadzu

• Support analytical method development, qualification, transfer and sample analyses over a broad range of analytical techniques and methodologies for the product development effort.

• Work independently to develop methods for the characterization of chemicals, products and processes.

• Design and implement experiments, use technical competence and experience in chemical characterization, method development and validation, and problem solving.

• Maintains the integrity of the laboratory database through LIMS

Work Experience Requirements

• Strong expertise in chromatography (HPLC, GC, CE, IC) and mass spectrometry (LC-MS, GC-MS) areas with minimum of 5 years’ experience of method development in relevant areas .

• Experience in Proteomics

• Proven scientific and technical skills in analytical troubleshooting and problem solving

• Experience in a GLP laboratory environment

• Excellent organization, data analysis, technical writing, and communication skills

• Proven teamwork and collaboration skills

Education Requirements

• Msc or PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry or related analytical science field with at least 3 years of relevant experience in research lab setting.

• Demonstrated experiences in analytical testing for a broad range of chemicals.
