Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented Medical Front Office Assistant with a strong healthcare background to support our evening operations. This role is essential in ensuring smooth front desk workflow, accurate patient registration, and efficient billing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional demeanor
Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and benefits
Collect copays, deductibles, and self-pay fees accurately
Perform patient registration and maintain up-to-date records in the EMR/PM system
Handle incoming calls, appointment scheduling, and online bookings
Assist with insurance verification and authorization processes when applicable
Support billing tasks, including charge entry, payment posting, and basic claim review
Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Maintain front desk organization and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
Address patient questions regarding billing, insurance, and visit details
Qualifications
Previous experience in a medical front office or urgent care setting required
Strong knowledge of insurance verification, copays, and basic medical billing processes
Familiarity with EMR/PM systems (Tebra/Kareo experience a plus)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Team player with a positive, adaptable attitude
Schedule
Evening shifts: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM (flexibility preferred)
