Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Deep Cleaning: Performs heavy cleaning duties, including shampooing carpets, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors.

Facility Maintenance: Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, offices, breakrooms, and public spaces daily.

Operational Support: Replaces light bulbs, fixes leaky faucets, and performs minor repairs to furniture or fixtures.

Equipment Operation: Safely operates and maintains machinery such as industrial floor buffers, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners.

Safety & Compliance: Handles cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring proper ventilation and storage.

Inventory Control: Monitors and replenishes cleaning supplies, submitting orders to management to ensure availability.

Security: Locks and unlocks secure doors, sets alarms, and reports safety hazards or security concerns to management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in janitorial or custodial roles, preferably in a commercial environment.

Technical Skill: Proficiency with industrial cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, steam cleaners).

Knowledge: Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, sanitation protocols, and safety regulations (OSHA).

Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, walk, stand, and bend for extended periods.

Independence: Capability to work with little supervision, often on weekends.
