Job Summary
As one of the “faces of PARS,” the Client Services Coordinator is responsible for building and retaining excellent relationships with existing clients and cultivating relationships with prospective clients. They support strong client relationships by managing daily service needs, coordinating regular meetings, preparing materials, and ensuring timely issue resolution. This individual also assists sales efforts by engaging with clients at events and identifying potential opportunities for new and existing clients. Additionally, they may present at Board or Council meetings, representing PARS and serving as subject matter expert as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Client Management and Relationship Development (80%)
Oversee day-to-day client relationships for assigned agencies and assume full accountability for superior client satisfaction from a service perspective;
Organize regular meetings with assigned clients and partners and handle associated follow-up meetings which may be virtual or in-person;
Travel as required to meet in person with clients primarily in California and occasionally to other states;
Prepare analyses and presentation materials to support meeting goals/objectives;
Effectively communicate with clients, partners, and internal departments to address all client needs and provide necessary research, problem solving, and provide support to consultants to manage (often complex) problems through to resolution;
Attend ad hoc events such as benefit fairs, partner/client networking events, etc.; and
Maintain accurate and detailed records in Dynamics, including customer updates, notes, meeting dates, and account updates.
Sales Support (20%)
Attend relevant tradeshows and conferences to interact with clients, provide support to sales team, and identify and qualify relevant sales leads;
Uncover potential opportunities with existing clients for sales of additional products and pass off to the Sales team; and
Present on behalf of consultants at Board or Council Meetings as PARS representative and subject matter expert on PARS retirement plans as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, required;
Two (2) or more years of experience in account management, administration, finance, customer service or a related field, required;
Knowledge of governmental pension plans, preferred;
Possess strong client relationship management skills to effectively manage daily interactions with clients, partners, and internal departments;
Comfortable with public speaking/presenting,
A keen ability to critically think through complex issues;
Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
Highly organized and proactive with the ability to accurately manage and meet all deadlines;
Strong follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously;
Ability to work without direct supervision and efficiently manage tasks and time;
Proficient with Zoom and MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams;
Maintain a professional demeanor;
Exhibit a high level of confidentiality;
Be a team player; and
Working knowledge of all standard office equipment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Flexibility in work schedule, with the ability to work from home for a percentage of time per week;
Ability to travel during the workday and work extended hours as needed;
Ability to travel overnight as needed, primarily in California;
Attending tradeshows or conferences within Orange County and in- or out-of-state locations;
Sitting at a desk for sometimes long and continuous periods of time;
Answering or making calls on the telephone or Zoom for sometimes long and continuous periods of time;
Using a keyboard to perform research, and to communicate through written means for sometimes long and continuous periods of time;
Looking at a computer monitor for sometimes long and continuous periods of time;
Occasionally standing, walking, reaching, and stooping;
Lifting up to 45 lbs.; and
Exposure to moderate noise level.
